Offshore chaos versus coastal calm. We start offshore in the Indian Ocean, deep sea fishing for mackerel and red snapper. This stretch of ocean is known for powerful fish and unpredictable conditions, and it reminds you quickly how small you are. From open water to dry land, the second half of the trip shifts pace as we trade the boat for electric bikes and ride the coastline near iSimangaliso Wetland Park. This place is untouched. A pristine beach with no footprints for miles. Dunes, estuaries, wildlife everywhere, and miles of shoreline that feel alive. We stop along the way to shore fish, reading water, casting into the surf, rolling the dice to see what kind of fish we’ll catch next.
